Of Life

Would anything be made that was made

If not by Him

Then only through Him

A seed so small

Yet a tree so tall

Created…

Nurtured…

To become the greatest of all

Roots underneath

Formed in the dirt

That is something of wonder

Created by a voice that thunders

He is the light of men

Hidden deep within

From grace to grace

Through it all seek His face

Worship at His footstool

Would anything be made that was made

If not by Him

Then only through Him

Scream thy praises

The dead He raises

Speaking His name is power

Our glory

Our joy

Cometh as a whirlwind

To destroy; the wicked and bring the proud low

Wiping away all tears so that there will be no more sorrow

The armour of God

The gospel of peace

The word made flesh

A limitless masterpiece

Would anything be made that was made

If not through Him?

Could His power be matched?

Sending Himself as sinful flesh with salvation attached

Could any one of us do that?

Formed from dust and breathed to life

Granted a living soul

Him being the one who makes us whole

Hast we an arm like God, or a voice that thunders?

Eating of Him, won’t lead to hunger

 Instead, we grow stronger

From grace to grace

He is the life of men

Only through Him

Will we find the light hidden within
